Developer’s Help Desk Reflections: Q4 Newsletter

As we wrap up 2019, Developer’s Help Desk would like to introduce two key leaders per our custom development processes.  Read the Developer’s Help Desk Q4 Newsletter to hear more on the following topics:

  • Lorie Morse, AVP of Integrated Technologies, discusses the steps involved in receiving custom requests and how these are presented to the DHD Project Team, including the bid process and final approval.
  • Kim Claflin, Manager of Custom Services Development, explains her duties in gathering requirements from credit unions and vendors to determine the scope of a project, as well as communicating project statuses and overseeing data.

During the fourth fiscal quarter of 2019, the DHD team received 147 custom project requests and completed 94 custom projects, which represented 3,075 programming hours.  These statistics and more can be viewed within the Q4 Newsletter!


CU*Answers releases new API catalog

CU*Answers recently announced the publishing of its Fall 2019 API Catalog. API development represents an important process to continually enhancing CU*Answers’ capabilities to remain flexible for providing data in a streamlined, secure manner. This is not only for the tools the cooperative CUSO develops, but provides a gateway to allow others to develop products that connect with and integrate into the CU*Answers product suite.

Scott Page, DHD Business Manager, said: “The API catalog lets users familiarize themselves with the APIs that are available through the DHD: both existing APIs and ones that will be released soon. CU*Answers now features over 300 free APIs for every client to consider as they are thinking of project development strategies. For any credit union looking to order a free API catalog, they may do so directly through our DHD Online Store.”


Developer’s Help Desk e-Alert: Check Out Our Latest Projects!

The Developer’s Help Desk (DHD) team is regularly incorporating new third party vendor integrations to CU*BASE.  To help keep our clients updated, we are delivering this e-alert to announce two new vendor integrations that have recently been completed, and may be ordered through our online store.

  • Sageworks (Abrigo) – provides financial analysis and risk management software to financial institutions.  CU*Answers has developed a daily data file extract to be delivered, which may include various loan, collections and deposit data.
  • Suntell – offers a risk management system for various commercial loan origination and loan management services.  CU*Answers has developed a daily data file extract to be delivered.
